New Item – integral flour

The wide palette of products will be enriched with the introduction of integral flour from buckwheat, rye, barley and wheat, which will be for sale at the end of the year.

Subotica

The devoted protection of the tradition of the “Subotica school of milling”, which is reflected in the production of “white” flour of the highest technological quality, we have separated ourselves from the rest as leaders on the domestic market concerning production and placement of 60 and 5 kg packages, says Radmila Sekulić, Assistant General Director for Production for “Privredni Pregled” regarding the jubilee celebrating 60 years in business. Fidelinka’s white flours are popular in households throughout Serbia and neighbouring countries and that is shown by the fact that we have a 55 percent loyal customer base in Serbia, according to the research agency GFK, as well as regular deliveries to countries in the region, says Radmila Sekulić.

Fidelinka, just like a majority of companies in this sector, was founded at the end of 1947 by the uniting of small mills from the area around Subotica into the milling company “Subotica”.

With the rationalisation of production we have achieved our goal, we have formed specialised mills that produce flour intended for various purposes: high quality white flour, which is used in the household as well as in production of special pastries, meal for pasta, flour for producing starch and modifications of starch, flour as a raw material for the needs of the bakery and confectionery industries as well as flour adapted for use by other specific customers, says Sekulić.

The newest project, but not the last, is the adaptation of existing equipment, as well as the purchase of new equipment in one of the mills, with the goal of processing corn into meal for beer and consumable meal as well as production of corn flour for the household, says Nešo Radulović, Fidelinka Mill Director.

Our goal is to, along with the corn programme, widen the production palette with the introduction of integral flours and grits from buckwheat, rye, barley and wheat. These types of milled products are obtained through grinding the full wheat grain and other grain cultures that have previously gone through a detailed cleansing in the mill cleaning area. Milling is conducted in the traditional way on a milling stone and the product produced is rich in cellulose fibres, proteins, B complex vitamins and other minerals.

It has been proven that food prepared from integral flour is not only beneficial for the digestive system, but also for the general health conditions. These products can be found in stores by the end of this year under our brand name and trademark, says Radulović.

Fidelinka is especially proud of its business philosophy related to customer care, and as a result has the largest customer base in Serbia and the region build over six decades of successfully managing customers and clients. The system of quality has been affirmed by the HACCP and JUS ISO 9001 certificates. 2007 was at the same time the basis for strict measures of internal control as well as potential for the possible placement of products on the markets of EU countries, which is already the case for signatory countries of the CEFTA agreement.

We are a company that controls its production processes in all phases, meaning critical points, says Radmila Sekulić.

Fidelinka has invested in one of the most modern and most sophisticated laboratories in the region. The laboratory controls all phases of processing, from the wheat grain all the way to the final product. Specialised milling, as a concept, is most often understood as all other forms of mill processing except for producing types of flour. By arranging the mills by purpose the optimal rationalisation of processing has been achieved, preserving the optimal quality of specific purpose products as well as satisfying the customers. The guaranteed uniform quality has also brought us special acknowledgement: the right to use the seal of “The Best of Vojvodina”.
