Investment and Market Coverage

Direct investment into milling amounts to around 700,000 euros; in the raw materials and storage sector 1,000,000 euros; and in the confectionery factory around 3,000,000 euros. Investment in the standardisation of business is also important, ISO standard 9001 as well as the introduction of the HACCP certificate. Around 500,000 euros has been invested into that plan.

The existing Fidelinka laboratory has been satisfying the needs of the production operations for years. The constant and intensive growth of the production assortment within the Fidelinka Company AD have created the need for reorganisation, technical additions, methodological expansion and functional positioning of the laboratory in the process of managing technological processes and product quality.

All of that revolves around the moving of the laboratory to the new location through the intensive outfitting with new equipment. Around 300,000 euros has been invested in the modernisation and outfitting of the laboratory for all types of checks. 300,000 euros have been invested in the dough factory and around 100,000 euros in the starch mill.

In the bakery segment, as one of the strategic directions of development for Fidelinka, up until now around 3,000,000 euros has been invested and our plans are to invest around 25,000,000 euros more by the end of 2008. Within the development concept of the bakery industry aimed towards finalised products, over 500,000 euros have been invested in Bread&Co., the chain of café-bakeries that is expected to expand. Fifty such cafés are scheduled to be opened in all larger cities in Serbia by 2009 and after that we will set our sights on other countries in the region.

The business results of the Fidelinka Company in 2007 were more than successful. Growth in sales, regarding the amount sold, increased in all segments. Sales of the basic assortment, flour and pastas, increased by more than 15%, confectionery products by more than 50%, and products from the starch industry by more than 20%. Growth in sales of bakery products in units sold was around 50%.

According to research by the renowned agency GFK, Fidelinka holds the leading position on the pasta and flour market in Serbia due to around 60% of domestic customers loyalty in Fidelinka brands. Fidelinka’s share on the domestic market of wheat flour is 50% and of that more than 50% are loyal customers. On the pasta market Fidelinka has a share of more than 60% with the same number of loyal customers in this category. In addition to that is the fact that according to data from PGM Consult, Fidelinka brand pasta is among the top 10 best Serbian brands.

Also, Fidelinka is the leading producer of flour and pasta in Montenegro, Republika Srpska and Macedonia… Developing markets are the markets of Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece.
