The milling company in Subotica was founded in 1947 when 22 mills from the area around Subotica joined together into the newly-established company Subotica. In 1961 a dough factory was opened in Subotica, the company launched a bakery industry in 1964 and in 1966 Fidelinka grew into a consortium for the trade and processing of grains and production of dry dough and baked goods. In 1974 the system was joined by operations for production of wheat starch and vital wheat gluten as well as modified starches. That is when the company Fidelinka came to exist.
Within the area of bakeries a significant shift took place in 1972 when a new bakery was constructed in Aleksandrov and in March of 1983 the company expanded into production of confectionery products as well.
At the end of the eighties of the previous century, Fidelinka began to centre the largest part of its production on more phases of processing. Today nearly 70% of the flour produced in our mills is processed in several phases down to the final grocery product. During its long history the name Fidelinka has become synonymous with first-class quality flour, pasta, baked goods, starch and agricultural products.
